How do you make complex systems visible, tangible and understandable? This co-design method uses gears to co-explore, enact and capture within systems helping actors to express their perceived freedom, influence and pressure in a mechanical representation (twin). It creates overview and gives actors a voice to talk back to the system they’re in. The method was built from experiences and observations from projects for KLM and the Ministry of Health (VWS) and helps to exchange perspectives for improving systemic collaborations.
